! there is nothing quite like writing several paragraphs embedded with tons of links, only to accidentally close the window and lose it all. i guess it's a chance to be more concise. it was quite rambly. (editor's note: it didn't get any less rambly the second time).
1. one of my mom's favorite bits of wisdom is the
aryurvedic (traditional Indian medicinal) belief that our bodies are made of three energies; pitta, kapha and vata. you can
take a test to find out which you are. i'm mostly pitta..
this website says "
Physiologically, these people have a strong metabolism, good digestion and resulting strong appetites. Pitta types have a natural craving for sweet, bitter and astringent tastes and enjoy cold drinks. Pitta people do not tolerate sunlight, heat or hard work well."
2. my friend andy sends amazing links that are insightful/interesting/relevant.. and i post a lot of my favorite bits from him on facebook, but nowww the general public can get in on the action via his new blog called
the targeted audience. you have to click the big blue link at the top of each post to get to the articles. should be good.
3. this is just a silly thing, but i've stopped going to cute yoga instructor tim's classes because they just plain wear me out, and it's too competitive. i had been going twice a week and just coming home exhausted and dripping, but i've found another instructor who i loooove, so now i go to him instead.
but tim has a class right after my tuesday class.. and who knows if he even recognizes me or realizes i stopped going to his class, but i apparently feel super guilty about it because i've had no less than fiveeee dreams in the last two weeks where cute yoga instructor tim is there, and i find myself apologizing for/explaining why i'm not going to his class anymore.
every time i run into him at the studio, i just avoid eye contact. which is stupid. i'm sure i blush like crazy because i've worked myself up so much about it. ..did i mention pitta's are prone to excessive worrying? :)
