dad is the catfish, mom is the tree

i don't believe i have any other pictures of the coffee shop.. but this is one of my favorite places in taoyuan. calm, smells like coffee, the dog (also named coffee) will lay at your feet, the owners shen and fanny are super friendly. i'll miss spending late sunday nights there.
the coffee shop is alex's special place in the way that the kuo's was my special place. shen and fanny speak very little english, so you'd have to be fluent in chinese to really get in there.

well i think i'm slowly recovering from whatever illness i have. i'm still coughing up a storm but i actually felt motivated enough to hang up most of my clothes in my closet today and resisted the urge to nap during the day. yesterday i thought i was going to take a short nap and ended up sleeping from 3 to midnight. then from 3 to 9am. whoops! i guess i needed it though. now if i could just kick this cough.
coffee just came and stood with us when we took the picture. pretty random/funny.

i still miss taiwan a lot. it's funny how it only takes 24 hours to completely flip flop times zones and your life. i miss my kids and the kuos and having an income. but it's fun to be around my family. my mom made my favorite dinner! time to eat.
