this was far and away my favorite day on the trip.. or at least my favorite in china. the great wall is more than you imagine it to be. it seems to go on forever and it's wide and very tall. we hiked a 6km section at jinshanling. you can take a cable car to get up, but we hiked up these steep steps to get to the top where the wall goes up and down over the curves of the mountains.

here we are on the great wall! it ended up being kind of hilarious because i'm wearing that shirt in literally 90% of the pictures that were taken of me on the trip. i guess when you only brought 5 shirts, that's kind of bound to happen.
this is when guillermo took one million pictures and i did a series of model poses.
we rode there/hiked the wall with this very nice spanish couple. guillermo was happy to be able to use his spanish and they were super funny and nice.
of course there was a couple taking their bridal portraits. we were wondering about the groom's wardrobe choice.. but that's very classic asian wedding photo.
[p.s. i didn't want to mention it before we left, but guillermo and i actually broke up a month or so before the trip. we still had a really good time, and i wouldn't have wanted to go with anyone else.]

Great pics! I remember hearing that at some points in the Wall, it widens to accommodate the breadth of four horsemen. Amazing history and views.
