my mom, who's a landscape designer, had her guys come by this week and build and stucco a wall/fence in the back yard so we can let the dogs out.

this isn't the best picture.. but they took out some of the grass and put in decomposed granite and built stone planters around the trees. we can't plant any plants until it rains around here.

i've been watering the rosemary with the water that's leftover in the kettle every morning, and now it has all kinds of new growth sprouting up.

too bad we can't say the same for this guy..
