well today was the end of a tiny era. i finished julie and julia, the book.. aaand i watched the movie. it wasn't near as wonderful as the book (movies never are, are they?) but it was fun to see. it's a shame because she has so much more personality in the book. i think i might read her blog this year. she seems like someone you'd want to be friends with.
a million cups of tea later, we're headed to bed. i'm looking forward to tomorrow! christmas eve is one day closer to christmas.
called the kuo's from the command center in gram and spankys room. grandpa just kept laughing at me speaking chinese. there are so many words that get lost in translation. cold (leng) sounds just like busy (mang) over the phone. i was trying to say it's so cold here, but he thought i meant it's so busy. nuances! fun to talk to them, either way. they're excited that it's christmas tomorrow in taiwan.
