gram sewed the button back on my pants. i sewed it on yesterday, but it was faulty workmanship and only held for a few hours. i don't know if it was bad sewing or expanding waistline. let's hope it's the former.i don't know if i can fit one more thing in my stomach before i explode. here's the list from today..
english muffin with butter and homemade strawberry freezer jam and tea
mcintosh apple
ham and cheese on pumpernickel and tea
cranberry juice
spanky's homemade veggie beef stew and bread to dip in it and tea
newick's baked scallops with ritz crust
small bowl of seafood chowder
raspberries with vanilla ice cream and tea
i think that sums up the new hampshire grandparent experience.
there's spanky in his chair. he's reading kennedy's memoir right now.we also went to the outlet mall in kittery where my coworkers will be happy to know, i found a pair of navy wool pants. i always get a lot of crap for never wearing pants, but all i own are skirts. so they'll be happy.
it was a nice day. the leaves are beauuutiful on the trees. we finished my dress. i'll model it tomorrow and take a picture.
this is newicks, our fav seafood place, and the view from the dining room
i'm going to enjoy our half day tomorrow before i head back to washington dc!p.s. trust me, no one wants me to be able to tell you what goes on at work more than i do, but i just can't. if you ever feel like you need a taste of the governmental side of DC though, they have lots of cool pictures on the official flickr site and lots of videos on the website. watch the astronomy video where they had the kids over. that was a beautiful night. you can guess which side of the fence i was on.

Are you sworn to secrecy forever or are you going to be able to tell us at some point in the (perhaps distant) future?
ReplyDeleteYeah it's forever. But I can tell you a little bit in person. Maybe next time we both make it to ballet in the same city
ReplyDeleteThe food at your grandparents is the best! So is the company and the hospitality. Love you and them. Aunt Pam
